I had a pretty uneventful week at work, giving me a lot of time to internet search. Here are some things I loved.
Blog that I love this week:
SHABBY BLOGS
Megan is AMAZING! She creates all this shabby chic adorable cuteness and then offers them to other bloggers FOR FREE! How sweet is that?!? Her blog has tons and tons of shabby chic images that she allows you to download and use for your own blogging fun. She gives tutorials on how to spruce up your blog (many that I have used to fix my own blog up) and other cute freebies like free cupcake wrapper cutouts. She also features some of her favorite shabby blogs to share the cuteness.
Once your done reading her blog, head on over to her coordinating shabby blogs website. She has everything you need to make a blah blog into a gorgeous one you're proud of. She has backgrounds, buttons, blinkies and extras. And have I mentioned that IT IS ALL FREE???
seriously, gotta give some love to Megan, THIS GIRL ROCKS!
Etsy shop I am drooling over this week:
Sleepy King!
SleepyKing describes her shop items as this: "Here you will find handmade woodland plushies, recycled and up-cycled plushies, handmade forest animals, handmade softies, stuffed animals, woodland nursery decor and handmade accessories."
This girl has the most adorable woodland plushies. Some are seen in the inspiration board I created.
She also creates adorable headbands, and you all know how much I LOVE hair accessories. I have been swooning over this Owl Wing Headband.
Food I am craving this week:
James made me the most amazing brown sugar and cinnamon pancakes. He is such a sweetheart. We both have been craving pancakes, especially the super fluffy ones like the ones at Denny's. James made them perfect and oh so fluffy.
Maternity dress I want this week:
The Gap - Floral silky smocked dress $60 (although, I don't know if I can wear those heels right now)

Boy Nursery Inspiration Board #2
Most of the items in this board we already own, which works out better for us. I am just not 100% sure if it is definitely the one I want to go with. This room came about as we were literally walking through Ikea, so most things are from there. :)
Basics:
Dresser- Ikea
Crib - Jenny Lind
Pendant Lamps - Ikea
Table Lamp - Ikea
Side Table - a perfect side table that has underneath storage! and matches the light wood color on the chair. Found at Ikea
Chair and Footstool - comfortable, bouncy, has a built in pillow and comes with a footstool, awesome! Also at Ikea.
Decor:
Curtains - we already own these, I think they are from Target. The color is turquise
Paint - We want to liven up the room with some paint, although since it is a temporary apartment we won't go too crazy with details because we will be moving 6 months after. We wanted to go with a mid to light yellow to add some more color. Maybe even make it striped?
Throws - striped fleece blankets from Ikea
Bedding - striped bedding from Ikea. I would use the material to create my own baby bedding.
Rug - Ikea. We actually use to have this very rug and we liked it, although right in front of our living room floor, it got a tad too dirty for us. It would go perfect in a "little monsters" room though.
Art - the "BILD" poster is pretty big and is awesome. It has monsters drawn all over it and it looks like over sized kid's art. We love it. Also found at Ikea.
Mobile - light and airy and color paintable. CB2
Extras:
little monster stuffed plushies - we really like the "ugly dolls" collection. And various monsters found on Etsy.
Hexpod - found at CB2

woodland nursery inspiration board
So I have been creating some nursery inspiration boards lately (lots more to come!) and I really like this one. I like the colors and the cuteness of it. I like that it is modern without all the pastel extremely baby-like things. I want to keep it colorful and somewhat bright... while James wants to go for the black and gray Adam's family look (no thank you). A lot of the basic items we already own and are trying to work around those.
Anyway, numbering got too much after a while because I included so many things, so just ignore the numbers, I am just going to describe the items and where I got them from.
Basics: Important items that will be included in all our nursery boards. All the items we already own. I also have a changing table cabinet coming from my mom, but have no pictures of it yet.
Crib - Jenny Lind Crib. We have it in white, we are debating on painting it to match the nursery theme/colors.
Pendant Lamps - 2x round pendant lamps. We purchased the lights and dimmer for them from Ikea. We have the same lights in our living room and love them. You should get them quick though. A little bird told us they are going to be discontinuing them soon.
Square Lamp - This lamp lets of a softer glow, perfect for lower lighting/mood lighting. Also purchased from Ikea.
Dresser - we have one very similar to this, we purchased ours at home goods, the one pictured was found at Ikea.
Decor:
Curtains - Ikea. We couldn't decide between the curtains pictured, or THESE. Both would fit in perfectly.
Rug - Faux Bois green and tan rug made by Pottery Barn. An older rug that they no longer sell, but I found this one on Ebay.
Billy Bookshelf - Ikea. I put this under decor, because we will only use it to display things, we already have enough storage options, like our mirrored closet.
Bedding - Stixx bed sheet set found at CB2. I would cut up the fabric and create crib bedding out of it.
Alphabet & Number posters - from ThePaperTray on Etsy
Hoot Owl poster - from Leearthaus on Etsy
Toys:
Hexpod - hexagon sculpture from CB2. luckily, we already this cute little structure.
Mobile - fun, light and airy... and we can paint the colors to match the room. also found at CB2. purchased on sale, score!
Woodland stuffed animals - Red forest fox, Arthur avacado bear, Reginald raccoon plushies from SleepyKing on Etsy
wooden toy - MULA toy from Ikea. We LOVE wooden toys!

Loving this website.
Today I am obsessed with PLASTICLAND! I found a bunch of adorable things that I would decorate a little girls nursery with. Actually, that I would decorate my whole house with!
