Another question for you moms ( and dads) out there... What are you thoughts/experiences with the Moby Wrap?
I have been contemplating for a while if i should get one for the new baby. Some I have talked to about them swear by it. I am not sure if the cost is worth it though. My concern with the Moby is that I will have trouble wrapping it by myself since there is so much going on.

We already have a Baby Bjorn and I am wondering if i need another carrier. I do remember my back hurting from not having any lower back support with the Baby Bjorn. Also, there is a minimum weight and height for the Baby Bjorn and I remember we couldn't use it right away with Chloe. Plus, all the babies look so comfortable in the pictures with the Moby Wrap.
Isn't this picture with the Grandma so cute? source |
Anyone want to chime in and let me know their thoughts on the product?
Btw, totally listened to you all about the My Brest Friend vs the Boppy and I ended up getting one, i can tell just by seeing it in person that its going to help much more! Thank you for all the advice!

Honestly, I couldn't live without the Moby wrap. I love, love, love it! I've worn her at the mall with it, the grocery store, and just around the house! I was unsure if the cost was worth it as well, but in my opinion, it totally is! My favorite is around the house because she falls asleep almost instantly and it allows me to wash dishes, cook dinner, blog or whatever!
Good luck in your decision! I know there are a lot of great products out there.
If you plan to wear your baby often and for a while, bite the bullet and go Ergo. It's SO worth it. Brees is 16 months old and we still use ours ALL the time. Total support for both you and baby, super easy to put on and take off. Although in the beginning a sling is a bit easier with an infant. Dr. Sears makes a really great sling:

I used a sling when Ryker was an infant- and they've since been recalled up here in Canada because babies are prone to suffocating (apparently)- and I do have a Moby, and I intend to use it ALOT more than I did with Ryker. It's so easy to use Michelle- all I did was look up different way to wrap it on YouTube, and now I'm almost a pro! I'm pretty sure that wrap is the only way I got ANY packing done when we moved into our house! With Ryker, I could just carry him everywhere, because Hannah was old enough to get her self dressed, etc- but this time around, I'm still going to 'need' my hands because Ryker is only going to be 3- so yes, I love the Moby. But, I was also interested in learning more about the Ring Slings- anyone have any input on those?? They look so pretty!
I love my moby wrap. Such a good product, so versitile. When my son was first born, Sadie was 16 months old and a handful. Lucas loved being cuddled in the moby wrap, it was how he would sleep sometimes.
When I bought it, I practiced a bunch. The video helps, and in no time at all you'll be a pro. I got mine on eBay for a lot cheaper than in the stores.
I loved my Moby! It was wonderful when she was tiny! However, when she reached 18ish lbs it really started to hurt me. My next baby (if we have one) i will buy an infantino eco sash wrap or if i get my way- the ergo! Expensive but worth it. Good luck :)
5 stars for the Moby. I actually have a Sleepy (now Boba) wrap. My husband and I both use it daily with our nearly 5 month old, and we sing it's praises ALL the time. If you're willing to buy used, I highly recommend checking out diaperswappers.com, where you can generally find new and used Mobys, Ergos, and more sold by mom's. (Think Craigslist of baby items.)
i never used a wrap....but i did LOVE my hotsling. :)
I'm 15 so I wouldn't know about actually using one but my mom managed a baby boutique here in Austin, TX for about 7 years and she says the Moby is really great but she also sold Peanut Shell sling--which are very easy to put on--and ring slings, she recommends all 3 but the Peanut Shell sling is easiest to put on and put the baby in.
We got the bjorn and then the ergo..we use both..the ergo IS more comfy though.
Love love love the Baby K'Tan - way easier to wrap than the Moby!
Sometimes they give a special discount to bloggers if you write a review too!
