WE HAVE DECIDED TO STAY IN SAN DIEGO for the time being.
Only 3 months away from our move, with hearts and minds set on Portland, God revealed to us that He wants us to stick around a little longer. He has opened up many doors and avenues for us here recently and has made it possible for us to afford to stay here. After much reluctance from us, He really started hammering into us that this is where we are needed at the moment. He has made it clear that this will be for only a season, however long that might be. And that our dreams of moving to Portland will someday come true, just not in the timing we were hoping. It has really helped James and I put in perspective that we need to be living in His time, not our own. We will not be putting a future "move by" date because we will be waiting for God to let us know when it is time to move. Until that time, San Diego will be our home and we will spread His love on the people of this city.

thats exciting! And its definitely not easy to put aside your emotions on a decision like this and simply allow God's voice to be the one coming through... but now that you have heard him speak so clearly, he will certainly begin providing open doors and continual peace. We had the same thing happen with us a few months ago... we were planning to move across the country to Utah, but God made it clear that our time in Virginia is not finished.
well, when you do decide to move to portland, let me know so i can tag along. i've always wanted to live there. :)
I read alot of blogs, and find it so encouraging how open you are with your faith. My husband and I are also believers, and I know that God is in control of it all, including you move. So props to you for a great attitude, and trusting the Lord.
