6 Confessions

My dear blogging friend Betsy from Three.20 shared her 6 confessions and encouraged us to do the same.
So here you go.
via

1) I am afraid of the dark and STILL sleep with a nightlight.
2) I don't know why, but I really don't like the colors red and black together.
3) I only like to order items off a menu that have a picture with it.
4) I have a problem putting the wrong emphAsis on the wrong syllAble.
5) I sucked my thumb until I was 12 years old. I really hope Chloe doesn't inherit that trait from me.
6) I wore braces when I was younger, however I didn't keep up with the retainer. Now my teeth are more crooked than they were to begin with.

There you have it. What are your 6 confessions?

I love this idea!
I totally sucked my thumb til I was 8(a month away from 9). I REALLY wanted fingernail polish for Christmas but my mom said Santa wouldn't bring it until I stopped sucking my thumb. I stopped in time for Christmas :)

hahaha these confessions are awesome!
"emphAsis on the wrong syllAble".. that was an awesome movie. Almost inspired me to become a flight attendant too!

And just in reply to your comment on my blog, I don't mind you asking at all about my sister, and I was 8yrs old when she passed :/ and yeah, I have yet to feel what a satisfying burp is like. Woe is me.

i wore braces when i was younger too, because my teeth were HORRIBLE. i begged my parents for braces. i wore my retainer religiously for about three years afterwards, and i still wear it once a month because i'm scared they will be bad again. :)

Hey Woman! I just found your blog! Ok, we are a lot alike and I live in Portland. Do you guys? I was just reading your "about me" section and you said something like "we like to cycle, vintage shopping, obsessed with decorating, can't wait to own our own home..." And I was thinking to myself: They sound like they belong in Portland. And then the next line was like "Hopefully in the Oregon/Washington area." Hahaha! Anyway, Ian and I love love love vintage stores and we are in the process of buying our first home in Portland. Actually, yesterday we went to some really fun retro furniture stores to gather inspiration for our home! It's just so fun!

Also, we love Jesus too! My husband is a Pastor here in Portland. Sorry if I sound like a stalker/obsessed creep. I just love that I stumbled upon your blog and realized we had so much in common!

How fun! Here are a few of mine: I didn't suck my thumb but remember giving it a try as a kid to see what the big deal was! I have had a pile of clean laundry on my couch for over 2 days. I sometimes let my 3 and 5 year old brush their own teeth, even though I know they don't do a great job. (And if you ever need some helpful tips on taking care of kids' teeth, I've found this Mom's Guide to be super useful: http://www.1dental.com/moms-guide/) I am fascinated by all things Amish. As a kid I almost couldn't possess a handful of pennies and NOT sort them by date!
